I take a holistic approach to health and mental health treatment. This means that I view you as a whole person. While I believe that psychiatric medications can be an excellent tool in treating mental health issues, there are other parts of the picture too that can be utilized in addition to or instead of medications. Natural supplements and nutrients are often a part of treatment. As part of the evaluation process, I ask you to go to the lab to have blood drawn to assess for any nutrient deficiencies or other imbalances. Additionally, I may recommend certain types of psychotherapy, mindfulness/meditation, and other lifestyle modifications based on what your individualized needs are.
